Sandra Rey

CEO Anima

Sandra is a dreamy and passionate entrepreneur. In 2014, she founded Glowee, an innovative startup that harnesses marine bioluminescence to sustainably illuminate cities. Inspired by 3.8 billion years of nature’s evolution, her project has won more than 20 international awards, placing her among the top 10 French innovators according to MIT Technology Review by 2016. After Glowee, with the aim of multiplying her impact, she founded Anima, a venture startup studio dedicated to the growth of nature-inspired projects. Anima combines the timeless intelligence and wisdom of nature with the amplifying potential of artificial intelligence to accelerate the ecological transition. Sandra also presides over the National Design Council, advising the government on the establishment of a national design policy.
