Sandra Rey

Sandra is a dreamy and passionate entrepreneur. In 2014, she founded Glowee, an innovative startup that harnesses marine bioluminescence to sustainably illuminate cities. Inspired by 3.8 billion years of nature’s evolution, her project has won more than 20 international awards, placing her among the top 10 French innovators according to MIT Technology Review by 2016. After Glowee, with the goal of multiplying her impact, she founded Anima, a startup studio that uses AI to accelerate the ecological transition through bio-inspired alternative models. Sandra also presides over the National Design Council, advising the government on the establishment of a national design policy.
